The Porsche Carrera Cup GB is once again on the support race schedule for Tocatour in 2004. The series features the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car, prepared by individual teams for their respective drivers. This rear-wheel drive championship often offers close racing at the front, although perhaps on a slightly more refined level to that of the Clio Cup or Seat Cupra Championship.

Healthy sized grids at the end of the 2003 season bodes well for the upcoming campaign, with several new teams and drivers entering, including the reigning Clio Cup champion Jonathan Fildes and former BTCC champion Tim Harvey, who joins the series on a permanent basis after winning in the Porsche Cars GB guest car last year. The guest car provides more interest in the series, with drivers such as Porsche works stars Pat Long and Mike Rockenfeller taking part, along with familar names in TocaTour like Gareth Howell, Aaron Slight and Gavin Pyper.
