Tom Chilton after taking pole at Brands Hatch

Sat 1st May 2010 It's so good for the team - they've all worked so hard on the car. I've been doing this for almost ten years now and I don't think I've ever known a team work through to three or four in the morning like the guys have been doing.

I think that was an almost perfect lap - I think I even had the wind going in my direction! We put new tyres and new brakes on the car, but it's so difficult to get them both to come in at the same time.

We've worked on the chassis to try and get some good race pace, but I think it's going to be wet tomorrow, so who knows what will happen.
