Alan Hyde - The voice of Toca Radio

If you have followed the BTCC this season, either at circuits around the country, or on the internet, you will have heard the voice of Alan Hyde. Filling the position of Toca Radio frontman, Alan has braved all conditions to interview drivers, team managers, and grid girls throughout the year, and the season would have been much quieter without him. Following the end of the season, we caught up with Alan to ask him a few questions!

James Thompson's return to Vauxhall this year has been a successful one so far. Driving a Triple Eight prepared Astra Coupe for the Egg Sport team, he has taken two race victories and lies in third position in the championship. James looks set to battle for the championship title with his fellow Vauxhall drivers over the second half of the season, as the Astra Coupe continues to set the pace. We took the chance to ask James a few questions, and now we're pleased to bring you the interview. Take a look to see what he had to say for himself.

"I still hadn't thought about racing cars until I was driving my sister's new car to work when I was 18, I took a roundabout too fast in the wet and demolished the car", says Paul O'Neill, Production class driver with Tech-Speed Motorsport. Paul O'Neill is enjoying his first season in the BTCC, and he has enjoyed mixed fortunes at meetings so far, with his best weekend being last time out at Silverstone. We spoke to Paul find out a little more about him.

Jason Plato will be going all out to be 2001 BTCC Champion when the new season starts at Brands Hatch, and he's sure to be under a lot of pressure to perform well. We spoke to Jason to find out how the preparations are going, as well as to ask him some more general questions.

Brands Hatch Testing/Media Day
Peugeot and Vauxhall tested on the same track for the first time on Wednesday, giving a chance to compare the progress of the two teams. Also testing were a selection of the Production class teams, whose times were all fairly close together, suggesting that the new season will bring some very close racing!

Peugeot were at Silverstone again on Monday, putting their BTC Touring charger through its paces. We have exclusive photos from the session, and they are certainly worth taking a look at - if only to admire the spectacular styling on the 406 Coupe once again.
