Rover (undertaking the project using the MG marque)
have confirmed Warren Hughes as their second driver for their BTCC project. He will work alongside Anthony
Reid to develop the Rover 45 based model, (codename X20), with a view to competing in BTCC rounds toeards
the end of this season, before mounting an all-out assault on the championship next year.
The project is being undertaken jointly by WSR and Lola, and will see the return of Rover to the BTCC
following more than 10 years of them being absent. The plan is not to enter as a title contender this season, but
rather to use the race-miles as part of the development process.
