| Lexus BTC Touring Team, ABG Motorsport, have named their
second driver for the 2001 season as Brazilian Thomas Erdos. There has been much speculation about who
would fill this seat, but this official announcement should bring an end to the rumours.
Erdos is well known within the field of GT racing, but also has experience of single seaters, having been
Formula Renault champion. In GTs, he has driven For Marcos and a privateer Viper outfit. He will certainly bring
experience to the BTCC, and the Lexus team now looks to be in very good shape - although the relative performance
of the rear-wheel drive IS200 remains unknown. |
