More than a 'Slight' Advantage for Peugeot
The Peugeot 406 race team will be fronting a three-car line up for the debut of former super bike racer Aaron Slight for rounds 11 and 12 of the MAS British Touring Car Championship, held at Donington Park this weekend.

Peugeot have ended speculation this week as Aaron Slight was announced as the new team member. Originally from New Zealand, 35-year-old Aaron is more known for his two-wheeled racing, regularly appearing at the top of the World Super Bike tables, with a total of 13 wins under his belt.

Aaron commented: ' I have always wanted to race cars, and I'll be giving it my all too succeed.'

Yet this is by no means Aaron's first time behind the wheel of a racecar, having raced Formula Fords in New Zealand in 1994, and last season completed testing in the factory BTCC spec Honda Accord.

Aaron Slight contends the BTCC in the number 111 Peugeot Coupe, his own famous racing number. The newly prepared 406 will have it's first test at Donington Park on Thursday the 28th June, only two days before his official appearance also at Donington for rounds 11 and 12 of the Championship.

Vic Lee, Team Principal said: 'We are really looking forward to working with Aaron Slight, having come from a high level of Motorcycle racing it will be interesting to see how he interprets the car, and the set up. But we would like to wish him the best of luck for his first season on four wheels.
