'Roger Moen to contend famous Hillclimb in BTCC Peugeot 406 Coupé'

The www.theAA.com British Touring Car Championship Peugeot 406 Coupé will be raced under different conditions than usual this weekend when it is put thought it's paces at the famous Goodwood Festival of Speed hill climb.

HTML driver, Roger Moen of Norway, who usually drives a VLR ltd prepared Peugeot 306 in the British Touring Car Championship Production class, will be driving the 406 Coupé at the event.

Moen, joined forces with HTML in 2000 and in the same year competed in the NSC where he finished fifth for the second year in a row. He also won the 1996 1600cc class in the Saloon 2000 series with Mardi Gras Motorsport, having only entered the British Motorsport arena a year earlier.

The Peugeot 406 Coupé will compete in BATCH 4 with Practice for the hillclimb commencing at 13.00hrs on Friday 7th and timed climbs on Saturday and Sunday at10.35hrs and 15.45hrs.

At the event Peugeot have a road, race and rally car stand to include; the 2000 winner of Drivers and Manufacturers Championships 206 WRC car, the 80's winning WRC Peugeot T16, the successful 106 Super 1600 of Justin Dale and Andrew Bargery and the current BTCC 406 Coupé.

Organised by The British Automobile Racing Club, and held under the general regulations of the MSA, Goodwood Festival of Speed is in its 9th year.
