| Former Team Kaliber/Barwell Motorsport driver Peter Cate will return to the Toca Tour for the final three rounds of the season. It won't however be in the BTCC, but instead he will team up with Mark Fish Motorsport to contest the final three rounds of this year's Elf Clio Renaultsport UK Cup. Cate tested in a Renault Clio last year, and has previously driven for Mark Fish Motorsport in the Ford Fiesta Zetec Championship in 1998. He will be hoping to put on an impressive display in order to secure his return to the BTCC for 2002.
