The fight for the second Barwell Motorsport Vauxhall Astra Coupe seat now appears to be down to Simon Graves and Chris Goodwin. This comes after James Kaye reportedly decided to turn down the chance to drive the 2001 specification car after feeling it wouldn't match any of the 2002 machines in the Touring Class. He now looks set to drive the new Honda Civic Type R in the Production Class instead.

James' brother, Richard, looks set to contest the Russian Touring Car Championship again, as well as being a driver coach to the Russian drivers competing in other European series.
