It has been announced that Total Motorsport racing will field two cars in this years British Touring Car Championship for journalist, Steve Sutcliffe and GT Champion, Richard Dean.

The pair will drive Lexus IS200's prepared by the private team, who last year ran a single car for Kurt Luby and later Tommy Erdos.

Steve Sutcliffe took part in the final race of the 2001 season at Brands Hatch where he got as high as fifth, prior to this year Sutcliffe has been racing in TVR Tuscans. He commented, "We probably won't have the car exactly as we want it until halfway through the season but it showed last year that it already has plenty of potential. I'd much rather be racing a rear wheel drive car than front wheel drive."
