Team Petronas Syntium Proton (Team PSP) successfully tested their new British Touring Car challenger for the first time over the weekend of Saturday 23 February at Magny Cours, France.
Team PSP’s driver David Leslie said: “We ran about 50 laps on the Saturday and similar on the Sunday, with no problems to speak of. The car ran well and responded to setup changes. It was a very positive first test.”
The second car was completed on schedule today and is en route to Spain. Both Team PSP cars are expected to begin testing at the Guadix circuit in Andalucia for ten days from Wednesday 27 February.
David Wong, Team Principal, Team PSP said: “The team’s gelling nicely – We’re moving up the BTCC learning curve for sure.”
