Morning session update:

The first official test session of the year got underway at Silverstone at 10am this morning. Absent from the session in the touring class are the Arena Motorsport Honda team, Vic Lee Racing, GR Motorsport and Totalmotorsport racing, while all other Touring class teams are represented. MG are running one car, which Warren Hughes has been driving throughout the morning.

At approximately 12:30pm, James Thompson was leading the times in the Touring class, ahead of Muller, Neal, Hughes, Chilton, O'Neill and Slight respectively.

In the Production class, Mark Fullalove in the first Techspeed Peugeot 306 has been setting the pace, followed by Davies in the Edenbridge BMW, Spencer Marsh (Accord), Boardman (BMW), Thomas (Accord), Blencowe (Alfa 156), Templeton (Peugeot 306), Saunders (Alfa 156).

Also running, but using the morning session more for development than anything are Team Petronas Syntium Proton, with a car each for Leslie and Bennett, and Rob Collard in his Renault Clio.
