With their inaugural season now behind them, Team PSP is already looking ahead to 2003.

Team Principal David Wong said: "We are committed to a three-year programme in BTCC and are aiming to challenge for championship honours. This year was all about learning the ropes in what is clearly a very competitive championship attracting some highly experienced Touring Car teams. At the start of the season we set ourselves the goal of a podium finish - and we've comfortably exceeded that thanks to great teamwork, a sound race-car and canny driving as a starting point. Now we're up and running we have a great platform to build on for 2003."

Peter Gillitzer, Operations Director, said: "We have a program of testing to get under our belts as soon as possible. We have a number of ideas we'd like to try out on the current car before we commit to the design and build of our new car. We also plan to strengthen our in-house resource in design and manufacture to support a bigger challenge next year."

He went on: "Our 2003 car will then incorporate all we've learned from this year and build on what we've already got - an eye-catching and distinctive car with great straight-line speed, a stable and responsive chassis, low tyre wear and all things considered a reliable package. This year the championship has once again proved that it's not just speed that counts - it's being at the front at the finish!"

The team plans to take part in the official TOCA tests early next year in readiness for a serious challenge on the 2003 BTCC championship.
