17/04/2003 - Howell joins Motors TV line-up

BTCC driver Gareth Howell will join Ben Edwards, Vicky Butler-Henderson and Tim Harvey on satellite channel Motors TV for the Mondello Park action this weekend (April 20-21). Howell, 21, will team-up with Ben Edwards to bring commentary on all the support race action.

An enthusiastic Howell commented: “Although I'm disappointed not to be driving, I am really pleased that MotorsTV have given me this great opportunity. I'm really grateful to the people that recommended me and I am looking forward to working with Ben who is a great commentator and know I will learn a lot from him. I haven't completely given up hope of driving in the BTCC this year, I am still working to put together a deal to appear with an Independent Team, possibly from Thruxton onwards."

Motors TV will broadcast the action live from Mondello, with coverage starting at 12:25 with the BTCC drivers parade, ahead of the opening round of the season. The channel will keep the live feed until the end of the days racing at around 18:00.
