TOCA, the organisers of the Green Flag MSA British Touring Car Championship today confirmed that next year the series would include a return to Knockhill, in Scotland, after a years absence from the calendar.

The provisional calendar released some months ago included one date for either Rockingham or Knockhill circuits. Rockingham hosted its first BTCC weekend in 2003 which met with much critical acclaim but to ensure the championship has as wide a geographical spread as possible, Rockingham could not be included in the 10-event 2004 schedule, however, the BTCC has its sights firmly set on a return to the Northampton venue in seasons to come.

The return to Knockhill still remains provisional depending on work to improve facilities being completed by 1st February 2004.
