Team Sureterm confirms BTCC entry - 04/03/04

GA Motorsports has today (Thursday 4 March) confirmed its entry in the 2004 BTCC under the banner ‘Team Sureterm’. As expected, the team will field a trio of cars for drivers Paul Wallace, Charlie Butler Henderson and Carl Breeze.

Wallace and Butler-Henderson will both drive ex-works Vauxhall Astra Coupés which have been fully rebuilt over the winter and will start the season with up-rated engines to the end of 2003 works team spec. Breeze will drive GA’s new ETCC spec Alfa Romeo 156.

Pre-season testing is already underway for Paul and Charlie with a shake-down having taken place at Thruxton. Both will be at Silverstone tomorrow (5 March), whilst Carl will be joining them for the rest of the pre-season programme starting at the BTCC media launch at Donington Park on Tuesday 16 March.

The team takes on the ‘Team Sureterm’ title as a result of its partnership with specialist car insurers Sureterm Direct, who have moved up to the BTCC with Charlie Butler-Henderson after supporting his assault on the Clio Cup in 2003.
