Alan Morrison makes BTCC return with Team Aon

Thu 2nd April 2009 Alan Morrison will return to the HiQ MSA British Touirng Car Championship in 2009 after being confirmed as the second driver at Team Aon.

Morrison will line up in a Ford Focus alongside Tom Chilton at Brands Hatch this weekend.

It's not the first time that Chilton and Morrison have been paired together at Arena Motorsport, as they both drove for the Honda Racing team in 2003.

Morrison's entry, along with that of Jason Plato and Nick Leason's diesel BMW return, brings the number of cars set to be on the grid this weekend to 20. Of the 23 registered entries, Jason Hughes and Paul O'Neill will be absent (injury and work commitments respectively), while Tempus Sport are yet to confirm a driver for their second Chevrolet Lacetti.

Morrison will arrive at Brands Hatch with no prior experience of the BTCC Focus and indeed, has not driven competitively for over five years.
