Boardman last raced in the UK in 2005 when he won the SEAT Cupra Championship and his last season in the BTCC was in the Production class in 2003.
Boardman said: "Although the decision to contest the BTCC came quite late, I’m really looking forward to 2010, as I have missed racing in the UK for a few years now. It’s going to be difficult, with the number of experienced drivers that will continue in the BTCC this year, but we have set our targets high".
Boardman will continue his relationship with SEAT UK, which started in 2009, through Club SEAT (www.club-seat.co.uk). The Special Tuning (UK) team is hoping to secure a driver for its second Leon TSI before the start of the new season.
