Testing action continues at Thruxton Testing action continues at Thruxton

Fri 19th February 2010 BMW teams West Surrey Racing, Motorbase Performance and Forster Motorsport all took to the track at Thruxton today (Friday, 19 February), as their preparations for the 2010 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship continued.

Reigning BTCC champion Colin Turkington was on track for WSR – complete with the number one on the side of his white and blue 320si E90. As you can see from our photos, (click here), there was also a second WSR BMW, which was still in the distinctive RAC orange, driven by long-time BTCC hopeful Andy Neate. Clio Cup runner-up Alex MacDowall also shared driving duties at WSR.

Motorbase Performance ran a single car at the test for Rob Collard. The Hampshire racer has driven for the team in the BTCC for the past two seasons and appears favourite to head their line-up in 2010.

Despite having both of their BMWs at the track, Forster Motorsport ran a single car that was shared by Arthur Forster and Martin Depper.

Alongside the trio of BMW teams, Matt Neal was out in a Team Dynamics Honda Civic and Tom Boardman put his Special Tuning (UK) SEAT Leon through its paces just days after confirming his return to the BTCC.
