First outing for AmD's VW Golf

Tue 16th March 2010 BTCC newcomer Shaun Hollamby tested his Volkswagen Golf for the first time at Brands Hatch today (Tuesday, 16 March).

Hollamby, who will contest the 2010 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship under the AmD Milltek Racing banner, used the test session to shake down the car ahead of the BTCC’s media launch and first official test at the same track next week.

Over the past few weeks, Essex-based AmD have provided comprehensive updates on their website as they have prepared the Golf for its first run. Further details can be found at www.amdessex.com.

Fellow Brands Hatch locals Motorbase Performance also made the short journey to the track this afternoon to undertake a brief shake down of one of their BMW 320si E90s. Driving duties fell to Steven Kane.

Full details of Motorbase Performance’s 2010 BTCC plans are expected to be revealed at next week’s media launch.
