Three of the 23 entries are missing the opening round – both Forster Motorsport BMWs and the Central Group Racing Honda Integra of Lea Wood.
The Forster squad is struggling with engines at this early stage in the season, but should make it out at Rockingham.
Lea Wood is expected to make his BTCC debut at Brands Hatch at the start of May.
All 20 cars took to the track in this morning’s first free practice session, with Matt Neal topping the times on a drying track. His best time was set on wet tyres, while others tried out slicks towards the end of the session.
Martin Johnson and Andy Neate completed the most laps in the first session, with 19 each. Fewest laps were completed by Matt Hamilton, with just five on the board before he suffered a gearbox issue.
