Sat 7th August 2010 After making his BTCC debut last time out at Croft, Daniel Lloyd will miss this weekend's races at Snetterton after failing secure sufficient funding.

18-year-old Lloyd, the reigning Renault Clio Cup winter series champion, scored two top-ten finishes on his debut back in June, driving for Triple Eight alongside James Nash.

Since that time he's been working extremely hard behind the scenes to try and raise the funds to continue his season, but the most likely opportunity for Lloyd to be back on track will be the Donington Park event in September.

Lloyd said: "Obviously I'd have loved to be able to continue the fantastic start I made to my BTCC career by racing at Snetterton this weekend but we just weren't able to get the funding together. We're working incredibly hard though to get back out as soon as we can. The BTCC is where we want to be and as I think we showed at Croft, it's where we should be."
