The grid is boosted this weekend with the addition of newcomers Chris Swanwick (Rob Austin Racing, Audi A4) and Ollie Jackson (888 with Collins Contractors), along with the return of Tony Hughes and Lea Wood.
The last time there were 29 cars on the grid in a BTCC round was back in 1993.
BTCC Series Director Alan Gow commented: “To be going into our penultimate round with this record-sized grid, in such difficult economic times, demonstrates yet again the BTCC’s appeal and unrivalled ability to provide sponsors with by far the biggest ‘bang for their buck’ of any motor racing championship in the UK.”
