BTC Racing’s Nick Leason will miss the Croft rounds of the 2007 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship this weekend.

Leason has struggled to shake off a series of niggling problems with his Lexus IS200 this season and has opted to sit out the Croft races.

"It's been a hard decision by the team to only put one car out at Croft”, said Leason. “But it’s the correct one long term as we want to make sure it's right this time.”

“We have had so much bad luck right from the start of the season with reliability problems and two of my engines blowing. It's always going to be hard trying to develop a car in the public eye and we knew that. We are now 100% certain we have discovered the problem but unfortunately not in time to get it ready properly for Croft.”

“The team have made some changes to Chris Stockton's car to hopefully sort his problems out as well and hope to see big improvements for this weekend for him. I will be still attending Croft to cheer Stockton on and help out with the team. We now just want to start moving forward and get rid of the run of bad luck we have had and start to put in some solid results.”

Leason expects to test next week in preparation for rounds 13, 14 and 15 at Oulton Park.
