Steve Soper provided some much welcomed entertainment in the feature race at Oulton Park, his 100th BTCC race. Engine problems prevented him from taking what looked like being the first win of the season for the VLR team, but the Peugeot Coupe showed pace that has previously been unseen this season, and Dan Eaves did manage to take his first posium finish of the season, ending the feature race in third spot. It's still tight at the top of the Touring class, with Jason Plato now 10 points ahead of team-mate Yvan Muller after the Frenchman failed to finish the Feature race. The action continues at Silverstone on 8/9 September, whilst highlights of the Oulton Park action can be seen on Grandstand on BBC 2 on Sunday September 2nd at 4:45 PM.
