".....You don't realise until driving it, how banked the approach to Paddock is, there is a lump on
the apex I aim for, because if you hit it without the car being at the right angle it can send you
spinning down the hill! Your body is compressed into your seat as you go through the dip at the
bottom of Paddock and the car washes out to the left as the suspension is compressed.
There are then a lot of different lines through Druids but whatever one you are going for it is
important that you concentrate on a good exit speed, revs go sky high as you approach the
re-profiled (and ruined) Graham Hill bend. Again exit speeds are all important through here as its
leads onto Cooper Staight, its also good to drop your right hand wheels onto the dirt on the exit to
increase your cornering speed.
The very quick left hander at Surtees is a good passing opportunity if you get a good enough run out
of G/H Bend a slight lift is needed before being hard on the brakes for the very long 3rd gear
Clearways. A slow approach and quick exit are vital for your straight line speed round to complete
your stunning pole lap.
So you can pretty much say that momentum is the key to linking up all of the tight and twisty
corners of the Brands Hatch Indy Circuit...."
