 The penultimate meeting of the season sees the second trip of the year to the Donington Park circuit. Earlier in the year, there were victories for Thompson and Plato in the Touring class, and Moen and Jackson in Production. Out of these, Moen and Plato in particular will be hoping for a repeat performance as they battle for their respective championships. Following Plato's controversial 30 second penalty in the Feature race at Silverstone last time out, he leads the Touring class drivers' championship by just 5 points from Vauxhall Motorsport team-mate Yvan Muller. In the Production class, Simon Harrison leads by 17 points from James Kaye, with Moen just another point behind.
