Jason Plato wins championship in final round
Jason Plato Jason Plato has won the BTCC championship after a race delayed due to heavy rain.
Plato finished 3rd ahead of Muller in the Sprint race, as MG took their first victory of the year, the first non-Vauxhall win of the year.
In the feature Muller led Plato and it looked to be going his way when Plato spun, but the engine Yvan Mullers Vauxhall Astra was to fail, handing the championship to Plato.
In the production category long time leader Simon Harrison secured the championship.
