 Round 7 of the 2001 BTCC saw the second consecutive Sprint race victory for Production class
runner Simon Harrison. The HTML runner took advantage of a mistake by team mate Roger Moen towards
the end of the race to come through and take victory. Jason Plato took his second victory of the
season in the Touring class, followed by team mate Yvan Muller, and then James Thompson and Phil
Bennett. Techspeed driver Paul O'Neill took third position in the Production class.
