Silverstone's sweeping smooth surfaces are beckoning the drivers from Team
PETRONAS Syntium Proton (Team PSP) this weekend. David Leslie and Phil
Bennett are keen to notch up more racing miles and more points in their
Proton Impians.
The team's successful test at Snetterton on 14 May has been followed up by a
great deal of detail adjustment to the race cars at the team's Norfolk base.
David Leslie said: "Silverstone, being the F1 circuit, has very wide, smooth
and consistent corners and the kerbs don't unsettle the cars very much
either. It'll be great for our ongoing race development programme and
hopefully for our points tally too. The Team PSP and PETRONAS engineers have
put in a great deal of detail work on the cars since Snetterton, so Phil and
I are keen to put the changes to the test!"
Leslie continued: "Being a BRDC member I'm always delighted to race at
Silverstone - home turf so to speak. I think this weekend will mark another
significant step forward for Team PSP along our learning curve."
