Gareth is looking forward to visiting one of his favourite circuits this weekend when the BTCC visits Mondello Park, in Ireland. The Team Atomic Kitten driver thinks that Mondello’s twisty circuit will suit the MG-ZS.

“I had a great time at Mondello last year - I had a podium, I love the circuit, I love the atmosphere and although it's tight there it should be very close racing. We are starting to achieve the full potential from the car after our late start to the season. With 2 full days testing behind us, we know that we can show some good form this weekend. I am looking for two good finishes in the Independents Cup.”

After an excellent performance in qualifying at Silverstone, Gareth is hoping to do even better this weekend. “I think that the Championship is much closer now than it has been for the last couple of years. Any of the 17 drivers are capable of finishing on the podium and the top 13 drivers separated by less than 6/10ths in qualifying showed that. With Warren’s win at Silverstone we know that the MG-ZS is capable of winning and we hope for more success this weekend.”

BTCC qualifying takes place at 14.15 on Saturday 22 June, with the Sprint Race scheduled for 12.15 on Sunday 23 and the Feature Race due to start at 15.30.
