Sprint Race Driver quotes
Gavin Pyper: "Qualifying didn't really happen for me yesterday but we've got a good finish. It was determination really that got me through in that race. I wanted to stay out of trouble but still make progress.
Simon pulled out but then the safety car came out and helped me by closing the gap and he spun off all on his own. The second safety car didn't help me though. It'll be harder this afternoon but I've done it once so I can do it again. It's great to win. There's nothing else you can ask for. It's good to be back after missing Silverstone."

Matt Neal: I've been learning a lot this weekend and I'm still learning. I could have been a lot higher up in qualifying but it didn't quite go to plan.
The engine was overheating at the start of the race but the car came good. I managed to pick David Leslie off and then when I came up on Thompson, he let me through.

James Thompson: I took plenty of time with passing Gareth Howell because I knew I'd be quicker but unfortunately she kept jumping out of gear. Going down the straights it jumped from fifth back to fourth. Bearing in mind the engine situation I decided discretion was the better part of valour. I just backed off and decided to run at a sensible pace and I let Matt past but as soon as I did that, the safety car came out and there were only two or three laps left. I probably could have kept him behind me. I was being the team player but unfortunately it didn't really work out.

Tom Boardman: After the safety car came out the group bunched up and I knew there was a possibility that somebody would make a mistake. I sat back and then loads of cars went off in front of me so I made the most of it. Great result. I'm really happy with that and I'm pretty confident for the Feature Race. I'm getting more and more confident with the car and there's bound to be another period behind the safety car!

Gareth Howell: It was a bit of a disappointment really. Basically, I ran out of fuel. It wasn't helped by an air inlet problem in the engine but it was just unlucky. I'm gutted because we were on for a podium. The car was great and it's given me confidence and it's looking good. It was over before there was any contact. I lost all power going into the corner and I was just waiting for somebody to go up the back of me but they all did well to avoid contact.
