Support Races

2002 saw several changes to the Toca Tour Package. The Renault Clio, and Formula Renault support packages continued to be part of the series, and they were joined in 2002 by Formula Ford and the Porsche Cup.

Two new invitation series also joined the bill at selected rounds throughout the year. The World Sports Car Invitation Trophy (Group C) and The Heritage Grand Touring Car Challenge each supported the series on four occasions. The first of these series featured at the opening meeting of the season, on the Grand Prix circuit at Brands Hatch, followed by the meetings at Silverstone, Snetterton and Donington. Each meeting saw two races; a sprint and a mini-endurance, featuring mandatory pit-stops and possible driver changes.

The Heritage Grand Touring Car Challenge is based mainly on 60's and 70's saloon and sports cars, which are not be highly modified, but close to the originals. This series also ran both a sprint and endurance race, and again was present at four meetings: Oulton Park, Mondello Park, Snetterton and the second at Brands Hatch.
