There were wins for MG drivers Warren Hughes and Colin Turkington in rounds 15 and 16 at Brands Hatch. Yvan Muller extended his championship lead to 25 points, but was involved in a controversial last lap incident with Anthony Reid in the second race of the day. Muller led until the safety car was deployed, leaving just one racing lap. On the restart, Turkington passed Muller, before Reid made an ambitious lunge on the VX Racing driver at Druids bend. Both drivers rejoined the race, having lost a number of positions.
