After an encouraging on-track performance from both drivers at a hot and humid Snetterton, Team PETRONAS Syntium Proton is eagerly anticipating another improved performance at Brands Hatch over the upcoming Bank Holiday weekend.

David Leslie: "My PETRONAS engineers gave me a great car for the last race weekend but that start line pile-up ruined a lot of high expectations throughout the grid. I'm looking forward to getting the results this improving chassis deserves at Brands.”

Phil Bennett: "It'll be fast and furious at Brands on the Club circuit with sub-sixty second laps. I'm keen to get out there into the thick of the action and get stuck in again.”

Mike Carroll (race director): "The team was very positive after Snetterton. We've picked up pace compared to the front-runners and we know that Brands suits the Proton chassis we've built. It'll be fractions of a second that'll make a big difference - and we're finding them.”

David Wong (team principal): "We’re steadily making progress and putting the knowledge learned into the race car and the package for the 2004 season. I'm optimistic for some good results at Brands."
