Yvan Muller was crowned 2003 BTCC Champion at Oulton Park in a dramatic conclusion to what has been a thrilling season of racing. James Thompson took victory in the first race of the day, but Muller's 3rd place was enough to earn him his long awaited driver's title.

Matt Neal clinched third in the championship when he dominated round 20, taking his sixth win of the year - equalling Yvan Muller's win tally.

Independent driver Rob Collard had to wait until the final race of the season before he was crowned Hilton Independents Cup Champion.
