Phil Bennett: "It's strange to run in wet conditions after such a long dry summer and the track was tricky. I was pleased to get a good run with David's time so close."

Mike Carroll (race director): "The team pulled together well to change David's engine and get him out in good shape for qualifying. The setup looks reasonably good although the forecast is for a dry day tomorrow - but we're ready either way."
