Team PSP hopes Irish eyes will smile at Mondello

Team PSP returns for a second BTCC season with the first race on Easter Monday, April 21. With a settled and strengthened team, drivers David Leslie and Phil Bennett are keen to get stuck into the opposition and get the measure of them.

In recent testing David Leslie was happy with the improved turn-in from a new front splitter and Phil Bennett is also excited about the updates being introduced on the 2003 car. He says: "Driving for an all-new team was never going to be a bed of roses but last year the car was reliable and had great straight-line speed. I reckon with Mike Carroll's experience and input added to what we learned last season we should be looking for a win or two this year."

2002 Independent Champion Dan Eaves will be heading the duo, focusing his attentions on the overall championship honour as well as re-claiming his current title.

Team PSP enjoyed a successful first visit to Mondello Park in 2002, with team leader David Leslie securing a podium finish in the Sprint race. He said: "We're very pleased with the information we've learned in testing. Mondello is a great circuit and for me it's a home from home - the spectators are brilliant. Phil and I hope to make it an even better finish this year."
