The afternoon of Friday 25 April provided a rare opportunity for the BTCC teams & drivers to take to the track for an official test session, away from the stresses & strains of a race weekend. Being held at the fast Thruxton circuit, and intended as a trial for the new Dunlop tyres, the session took place on a wet track. At the end of the day, it was Independent driver Rob Collard who topped the timesheet, nearly 2 seconds ahead of MG's Colin Turkington.
