Team PSP is looking to bounce back at Oulton from a 'challenging' outing at Silverstone; the team is focussed on securing the first podium for their new 2004 car which has already shown its potential.
Fariqe Hairuman said: "I enjoyed my visit to Oulton after the end of last season; it's another circuit where I'll learn a lot by keeping out of trouble and making sure I get good solid finishes."
Shaun Watson Smith said: "I can't wait to race at Oulton for the first time. It's an awesome roller-coaster of a track with a good mix of challenging corners and elevation changes that favours the experienced and brave. As rookies, Fariqe and I have to use the first practice session for acclimatisation and then work on fine-tuning the race setup in the second session before qualifying. Our new chassis is so well-balanced, especially in medium and high-speed corners, I reckon we can put on another strong performance there."
Mike Carroll, Chief Engineer said: "We should be in good shape for Oulton - we'll find Shaun's missing horsepower and go for a strong race performance. "
David Wong, Team Principal said: "We're confident that at Oulton we'll be back among the front-runners. Fariqe and Shaun both got some laps of Oulton under their belts last year in the old car so it won't be a voyage of discovery next weekend. The team feels very positive so we're looking forward to our trip there."
