Halfords and Team Dynamics are linking up to sponsor one the most exciting
race meetings of the UK season at Donington Park on September 25/26, when
the UK's premier professional motor racing series, the Green Flag British Touring Car
Championship, will play out its explosive final title battle. Backed by a
full support programme of racing, including the unique BTCC Masters race in
which a pack of the series' favourite old boys will line up in a race for
identical SEAT Cupras, the festival promises to have something to entertain
all the family.
In an innovative twist on traditional arrangements race team and
international wheel brand Team Dynamics is backing an event in which its
race cars will play a starring role. The Computeach Racing with Halfords
Honda Civics, which it runs, have been among the most successful cars in
the 2004 BTCC driven by Matt Neal and Dan Eaves. Now Team Dynamics, backed
by its sponsor Halfords, is seeking to ramp up the entertainment and bring
the Donington meeting to the masses. A demonstration from an RAF fighter
plane; rally car demonstrations and a free concert featuring The Cheeky
Girls will all be part of the meeting. And best of all Halfords and Team
Dynamics are making all this available to a many more people with a series
of top ticket offers.
Team Dynamics has long been a crowd favourite in the BTCC, frequently
running super-successful cars for Neal as the series' favourite privateer
underdog against well-backed factory outfits. Now the current rules make it
a little easier for private teams to compete against the full works cars
and Team Dynamics are running two top-line, winning, cars for the first
time in the outfit's most successful season to date. This is Halfords third
year of sponsorship in the championship and its first year with Team
Dynamics who are a major alloy wheel supplier to its 400 stores around the
UK.
Neal drove his 250th BTCC race at Brands Hatch recently and is delighted to
be able to add a little more of the characteristic Team Dynamics and
Halfords sparkle to the Donington Park event. "This is a fantastic way to
give something back to the fans who support the BTCC and our team and a
great way to end the season," said Neal. "Our marketing agency Spiderzone
Ltd has worked day and night to present a whole host of exciting activities
to support the weekend's racing."
The thrilling extras on the bill at Donington will include a dramatic
display from an RAF Tornado F3 and a display from a Subaru Impreza
World Rally Car driven by Team Dynamics-backed double British Champion
Jonny MiIlner. Once the racing's over there will be a free live concert and
party to keep you at Donington.

Pop duo The Cheeky Girls headlines the concert. They've been among
Team Dynamics' keenest supporters this year, appearing trackside at several
events and have kept in close touch with Matt and Dan's successful progress
throughout the year. Also on-stage will be The Joan O'Neill band of BTCC
favourite Paul O'Neill's mum, who is also of course mother of former Spice
Girl Mel C.
