Team PSP’s drivers are eagerly awaiting the chance to get out on the wide, fast and sweeping bends of the Silverstone circuit and chase their elusive first podium of 2004.
Fariqe Hairuman said: "I was very pleased to finish strongly at Brands – I really feel that I’m making good progress. I hope I’ll make it into the top ten next weekend and add to our points tally."
Shaun Watson Smith said: "Once again, we’re looking for a podium finish at Silverstone after setting a fastest race lap at Brands. The car works really well in corners and is kind to its tyres, so we can maintain a strong race pace and hopefully keep out of harm’s way this time.”
Mike Carroll, Chief Engineer said: “We’ve made a couple of detail changes to the cars for Silverstone but we’re very pleased with our new car so far. We’re learning about qualifying and race setups at each outing so we tend to get stronger as the weekend unfolds. We’re knocking on the door for podiums – I hope Silverstone will be our breakthrough.”
David Wong, Team Principal said: "We’ve put up very strong performances at both Thruxton and Brands so we’re optimistic of another good weekend at Silverstone. Both Fariqe and Shaun have visited the F1 circuit already so it’s not totally new to them. I’m hoping that we’ll step up onto the podium there.”
