Team Eurotech: Croft next for Jordan in BTCC

After his best weekend to date in 2007, Mike Jordan will head north to Croft for the next races in the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship over the weekend of 2/3 June.

Following a four-week break in the calendar, the John Guest-backed Team Eurotech Honda Integra will tackle the North Yorkshire track in three more action-packed BTCC races.

Thruxton last time out proved to be a superb weekend for Mike and the team, with race-winning pace and a deserved overall podium as well as two independents' victories.

However, he believes that it will be much tougher to reproduce those results at Croft, a track that is sure to favour the Super 2000 specification cars. "We're still buzzing on the back of Thruxton, but I don't think Croft will suit our car anything like as much as Thruxton," says Jordan, who likes the Croft circuit a great deal.

"The Super 2000 cars will be very strong. Croft has a lot of slow and medium speed corners, which will suit them very well. Croft is a great circuit with a great crowd, but it will be one of the harder venues for us."

Live coverage of all of Sunday's races at Croft will be available on the Setanta Sports satellite programme, starting at 11.45am. The third race of the day will also be broadcast live on ITV3, with the coverage due to start at 3pm. Highlights will run on ITV1 at around midnight on Monday 4 June, and on Men & Motors during the evening of Friday 8 June.

At the same event, Andrew Jordan will contest the fourth round of the Renault Elf Clio Cup, and will be bidding for another podium after an excellent start to the season. Andrew ran very strongly in testing at Croft last week, running in the top three times for much of the day.
