BTCC 2009 at Donington Park James Thompson won the first two races at Donington Park, before Rob Collard won race three for Airwaves BMW. Thompson became the seventh different winner in as many races in a wet opener, before going on to take a lights-to-flag victory in the dry in race two. A further downpour ensured the track was wet at the start of race three, but dried during the race. Collard opened up an early lead on wet tyres and held on to take the chequered flag.
