Nash qualifies third at Silverstone

Sun 30th August 2009 Having looked sharp throughout the free practice sessions, setting consistently quick lap times ahead of the qualifying session, James didn’t disappoint when the lap times really count, during the qualifying session.

Claiming an impressive third position ahead of tomorrow’s first race of the HiQ MSA British Touring Car round, James not only secured his best ever qualifying result in the series’, but he ensured three Chevrolet Lacetti’s rounded out the top four, even pipping Racing Silverline’s, Jason Plato into the top three.

Speaking after the session, James enthused, “I’m extremely pleased with the result. To be honest I didn’t expect to be quite as quick as we were, but the car felt fantastic when the tyres came in. This car is a dream to drive, just as it was at Snetterton. I think we have great race pace, having done a race run during the session and it compared well with Mat Jackson.

I’m really looking forward to the racing tomorrow. And my hopes for the results? A win, a podium – finishing in the top 5 would be fantastic.”
