Barwell Motorsport was founded over 30 years ago by Richard Lemmer. Under the leadership of Richard's son, Mark, the team had it's most successful period in the nineties when they claimed no less than three championship titles, eight top three championship finishes and over 50 race victories. This year sees the team moving up from the Production class in to the Touring class with two Triple Eight engineered Vauxhall Astra Coupes, one of which will be driven by Tom Chilton, the youngest ever driver to compete in the BTCC.
