| After a year in the touring class, Barwell Motorsport focuses its attention on Production class honours in 2003, running a pair of Honda Civic Type-Rs for Luke Hines and Alan Blencowe. The combination of competitive car and experienced team should give both drivers the opportunity to take race wins.
Founded by Richard Lemmer over 30 years ago, the team was launched on to the professional motorsport stage in 1990 by Richard's son, Mark. Barwell Motorsport then went on to enjoy success in various saloon championships, including the forerunner to the BTCC Production class, the National Saloon Car Cup. During the 1990s, the team claimed no less than three outright championship titles, eight top three championship finishes and in excess of 50 race victories.
