| 2003 sees the most ambitious BTCC programme to date for GA Motorsports, adding a Touring class Vauxhall Astra Coupe entry for Gavin Pyper alongside its Production class Alfa Romeo 156s. Budget permitting, the team should be frontrunners in the touring class with Pyper looking for a chance to demonstrate the skill which many believe he possesses behind the wheel. Two Alfa Romeo 156s start the season, in the hands of Graham Saunders and former Clio Cup racer Paull Wallace.
Founded by former works touring car driver, Gary Ayles, at the start of the 2000 season, GA Motorsports first competed in the National Saloon Car Cup before moving up to the Production class of the BTCC. Sticking with the Alfa Romeo 156s throughout this time, the team has achieved impressive results, despite numerous engine failures.
